WHAT IS PRF AND PRP?
PRP and PRF are an all-natural solution that uses patients own platelelet rich plasma or fibrins to help accelerate the body’s natural collagen production, wound healing and skin elasticity that provides an overall skin rejuvenation, improve hair growth and treat muscle injuries.
For years PRP has been known as the infamous ‘vampire facial’. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is known for its unique ability to rejuvenate skin tissue by plumping the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and winding back our skins ageing process.
Additionally PRP has been used widely among leading cosmetic and orthopaedic surgeons to improve hair growth and treat muscle injuries.
PRP is known as the gold standard of treatments due to its golden colour and its incomparable skin rejuvenation and growth factors.

Plasma that has been spun and separated
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENT BETWEEN PRP/PRF?
PRF has recently been making waves as the next generation of PRP. Known for its similarity to PRP but with extended longevity and more desired outcome!
Both are derived from the patients own blood. However once the sample of blood has been taken it is the way they are processed which makes the two treatments unique.
For PRP your blood sample is spun at a higher speed allowing your blood and white platelets to seperate.
Whilst with PRF the blood sample is spun slower allowing for a richer source of fibrin cells. The slower speed also has the potential to cause less damage to individual cells, which is especially important when harvesting stem cells for healing.

WHEN DO YOU SEE RESULTS?
Clients can expects to see reults within the first week post treatment. While every client is different and will notice results at different stages, you can start to see noticeable changes six weeks after your first treatment.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
PRF and PRP is taken from your own blood. Prior to the treatment, one – two vials of blood is drawn.
Next, the blood is placed inside a centrifuge designed to separate plasma and fibrins from other blood components.
After spinning, the PRF and PRP is harvested from the top of the vial into a syringe.
Your Cosmetic Nurse injects the blood that contains the high concentration of platelets into your face, scalp or injury using a syringe or through microneedling.
