Melissa and Jordahn – our new family members!
We have two beautiful new team members on the GC Skin Boutique team. Jordahn and Melissa come with extensive knowledge and experience, while also bringing compassion, understanding and kindness to the team and their clients. We are thrilled to have them on board and as per usual we want you to get to know them so that you can feel comfortable and excited at booking your first appointment with them! We caught up with the ladies to get to know them a bit more and find out what makes them tick in the skincare and cosmeceutical field.

Q: What is something that inspires and motivates you?
I have a passion for helping clients achieve a healthy, glowing complexion.
Q: What is your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of my job is the fact that I can learn something new everyday, whether that be a new procedure, or even just a clients’ favourite cafe! I love that I get to help clients feel like a new version of themselves when they leave the clinic.
Q: How do you think people would describe you?
My friends tell me I’m disciplined, ambitious and kind.
Q: What’s one unique quality you bring to our team?
Dependability & positivity.
Q: What are your primary strengths?
A professional achievement I am proud of is finding a system to be able to prioritise the delivery of a hyper-personalised client experience.
Q: What brings you joy?
The feeling of success and fulfilment that comes with boosting client confidence whilst doing what I love. It connects me with colleagues and clients through a sense of shared purpose.
Q: What is something that inspires and motivates you?
Education! From other nurses to educating clients. How lucky am I to work around so many nurses, doctors, and therapists where we can chat about everything. From advice to new techniques, there is always something exciting, creating that safe space to learn.
Q: What is your favourite part of your job?
Meeting the clients! I really enjoy listening to their stories, what’s happening in their lives and the professions they have. It helps me understand what they’re interested in aesthetically.
Q: How do you think people would describe you?
Awkward & honest! I’m a little shy until I know people, however once I’m in, lookout….well unless it’s after 8pm ha!
Q: Have you ever had any mentors in your professional life? How did they help you?
I’ve had many mentors, some are still around. Being able to talk through tricky situations or new techniques, whether it’s in life or work is a great asset. Sometimes we are too shy to share our failures but they are often how we become better at what we do!
Q: What are your primary strengths?
My ability to be calm – I think this comes from my experience in ICU nursing.
Q: What brings you joy?
Being outside – in my spare time you’ll find me catching waves or twisting the throttle on long country roads, while reminding you 72 million times to apply sunscreen!
